“To me, making a tape is like writing a letter — there’s a lot of erasing and rethinking and starting again. A good compilation tape, like breaking up, is hard to do. You’ve got to kick off with a corker, to hold the attention…and you can’t have two tracks by the same artist side by side, unless you’ve done the whole thing in pairs and…oh, there are loads of rules.”
- Nick Hornsby, High Fidelity
I am a recent graduate from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts Studies (Art Education EC-12).
I live in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex where I traipse across to and from work and a variety of other activities that I am sure you are to read about. I am somewhat cryptic about the names of those whom I may mention on here to respect and protect their innocence. I will never ever mention where I work here (although you may have deduced what sort of work environment I frequent for a good chunk of my week with enough comp time accrued to give me vacation for the next several weeks) because I really feel like I don’t need to state the obvious as to why - but for the slow, I don’t want to get dooced.
I like music, sweet tea, and peanut butter pancakes. All of these things are not like the other.
